The Opportunity

You’ll play a key role in developing and enhancing advanced pricing models that directly influence product performance and profitability. Working within a highly skilled technical pricing function, you’ll design modelling plans, prepare and analyse large datasets, build predictive models, and apply wider techniques to refine pricing outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Designing, building, and enhancing pricing models (e.g. Claims/Peril Frequency & Severity models) using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Developing pricing structures and strategies to support growth and profitability goals.
  • Conducting back‑testing and impact analysis to refine pricing decisions.
  • Managing your own technical projects with clear, confident communication to stakeholders.
  • Supporting innovation through new data sources and analytical approaches.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practice across the wider pricing community.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of statistical modelling, particularly GLMs.
  • Familiarity with machine learning methods such as GBMs.
  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, Databricks, and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with Radar and Emblem.
  • Solid understanding of technical price components for General Insurance, including expenses, costs, and actuarial assumptions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights for non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across pricing and wider teams.
