We are currently recruiting for a Lead Pricing Analyst to join a major UK insurer, in an interesting, explorative, project based role to drive innovation, and lead high‑impact analytical, data and modelling projects. The Opportunity

On this team, you’ll sit at the heart of pricing strategy, developing predictive models, evaluating new data sources, modelling new features and factors, and delivering insight that directly influences conversion, retention, and loss ratio performance. You’ll lead projects across the full pricing control cycle and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across underwriting, distribution, and wider commercial teams.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both technical depth and strategic influence. You’ll guide junior analysts, champion best practice, and help shape the future of pricing capability within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the development, validation, and deployment of predictive models, including Machine Learning, to support risk pricing decisions.
  • Ensuring data quality, relevance, and integrity across modelling and performance monitoring.
  • Delivering strategic pricing analysis and presenting clear, actionable recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Assessing new internal and external data sources and presenting cost‑benefit insights.
  • Managing end‑to‑end pricing projects across the full control cycle.
  • Collaborating with Underwriting, Distribution, and other teams to deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Monitoring market trends and identifying pricing opportunities.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 3+ years’ experience in insurance pricing
  • Familiarity with predictive modelling techniques including (but not limited to): Logistic Regression, Log-Gamma GLMs, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Support Vector Machines, and Neural Nets
