Are you ready to take the lead in developing cutting-edge insurance pricing models that drive profitability and innovation? Our client is looking for two Principal Technical Pricing Analysts to join either the Home Technical Pricing or Motor Technical Pricing teams. This is your chance to work on sophisticated pricing strategies using both advanced statistical modelling and cutting edge machine learning techniques, while enjoying world-class, structured and in-depth, pricing specific training and global career development opportunities. Great Hybrid Remote working is available (1-2 days a week in-office) from various UK locations that would suit someone in the London, South East, or West Midlands areas.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of technical pricing models (e.g. claims cost, frequency and severity and perils based predictive models)
- Drive innovation by introducing new data sources and advanced analytics into the pricing approach
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business objectives and deliver clear, actionable insights
- Mentor junior analysts and deputise for the manager when needed
- Contribute to pricing structures and strategies that achieve growth and profitability goals
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of statistical modelling (e.g. GLM’s) and Machine learning (e.g. GBM’s) for technical pricing
- Hands-on experience with large datasets and tools like Python, SQL, SAS, Databricks.
- Familiarity with WTW’s Radar and Emblem
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build strong relationships across teams and influence stakeholders
