We are partnered with a leading UK personal lines insurer, to recruit for a Retail Pricing Manager to join its high‑performing Pricing function. The Opportunity

As a Pricing Manager, you’ll oversee a team of analysts and lead the delivery of pricing initiatives that directly impact conversion, retention, income, and profitability. You’ll work across multiple product lines, partnering with cross‑functional teams to develop optimisation models, analyse market dynamics, and ensure pricing decisions align with commercial objectives.

You’ll also play a key role in building pricing capability across the organisation – championing new techniques, embedding best practice, and helping shape the future direction of retail pricing.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pricing Manager, you’ll oversee a team of analysts and lead the delivery of pricing initiatives that directly impact conversion, retention, income, and profitability. You’ll work across multiple product lines, partnering with cross‑functional teams to develop optimisation models, analyse market dynamics, and ensure pricing decisions align with commercial objectives.

You’ll also play a key role in building pricing capability across the organisation — championing new techniques, embedding best practice, and helping shape the future direction of retail pricing.

  • Leading, developing, and coaching a team of Lead, Senior, and Pricing Analysts (approx. 5).
  • Monitoring trading performance and ensuring pricing targets are achieved.
  • Overseeing the development and application of behavioural and market models, including implementing machine learning techniques.
  • Delivering clear, timely recommendations for trading forums and senior stakeholders.
  • Combining MI, modelling outputs, and business targets to provide a balanced view of pricing performance.
  • Driving innovation in price optimisation and exploring new analytical approaches.
  • Influencing pricing strategy across the wider organisation.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree‑level education in a numerical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive background in insurance pricing or a similar analytical environment.
  • Strong understanding of price optimisation techniques.
  • Experience with Emblem, Radar, Databricks, Earnix or equivalent tools.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders up to director level.
  • Proven leadership experience and a passion for developing others.
  • A commercial mindset paired with strong technical capability.
