A great opportunity to join a leading, top 5 UK personal lines insurer in a highly regarded Technical Pricing team, where innovation meets impact – this team are highly regarded for the positive impact their predictive modelling work has had to LR’s and COR’s.

Responsible for developing advanced statistical and machine learning risk models across the Personal Lines portfolio – predominantly but not limited to Motor and Home products. This is a fantastic opportunity to work remotely full-time (if preferred) while contributing to high-profile projects that are widely recognised as having a major impact on the company performance.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Pricing Analyst, you’ll be at the forefront of technical innovation,leveraging cutting-edge data science techniques to enhance model sophistication and drive profitable growth. You’ll play a key role in:

  • Designing and refining complex actuarial models that deliver intelligent, high-impact
    pricing
  • Preparing and analysing data to support actuarial modelling and interpret results
    that influence business decisions
  • Collaborating across departments to produce ad-hoc statistical analyses that solve
    diverse business challenges
  • Communicating insights through clear documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders
  • Challenging existing methodologies and introducing new analytical approaches that
    unlock operational improvements

This role has a strong research and development focus, ideal for a self-starter with a passion for independent research and the ability to lead projects from concept to implementation.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone (must be UK based) with a strong academic and analytical foundation, including:

  • Top grades in Mathematics and other numerate A-level subjects
  • A 2:1 or higher in a quantitative degree—such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Physics (MSc or PhD not required but would be a plus!)
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to go beyond surface-level insights
  • A curious mindset and a talent for lateral thinking and deep research
